TAG Heuer released the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf
TAG Heuer pays tribute to its legendary racing legacy with the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf, a bold and nostalgic limited edition. This model celebrates both TAG Heuer’s partnership with Gulf and the Monaco’s iconic appearance in the 1971 film Le Mans.
Design Rooted in History
Limited to 971 pieces, the watch features the original 1969 Monaco case layout. Its left-side crown and square profile remain instantly recognizable. The fine-grained silver dial, paired with Gulf’s blue and orange racing stripes, evokes Steve McQueen’s Porsche 917K and racing suit.
How Big Is the TAG Heuer Monaco x Gulf?
The case is crafted in grade-2 titanium, fine-brushed and sandblasted for a rugged finish. It measures 39mm wide, 47.4mm lug-to-lug, and 15mm thick. The design includes a domed sapphire crystal, sapphire display caseback, and water resistance to 100 meters.
Inside: Caliber 11 Automatic Movement
At its core is the Swiss-made Caliber 11, a historic movement with a 40-hour power reserve and 59 jewels. It beats at 28,800 vph and powers the chronograph, date, and standard time functions.
