Audemars Piguet, the vanguard of haute horlogerie, in a groundbreaking alliance with Cactus Jack, has unveiled the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar “Cactus Jack” Limited Edition. A mere 200 timepieces will grace the wrists of aficionados, melding Travis Scott’s bold aesthetic with the craftsmanship of the Swiss watchmaker.

For the first time, Audemars Piguet ventures into a new realm of ceramic craftsmanship with the introduction of the Royal Oak in brown ceramic, a color synonymous with the Cactus Jack brand. This material, composed of yttrium-stabilised Zirconium Oxide, undergoes a meticulous sintering process, ensuring the chocolate hue of each piece is as distinct as its wearer.

At the heart of this limited edition lies the Calibre 5135, an openworked self-winding perpetual calendar movement. Its sapphire dial reveals the sophisticated mechanics, with rhodium and rose-gold tones interplaying with transparency to showcase the movement’s inner workings.

The “chocolate AP,” as coined by Scott, is not merely a timekeeper but an art piece, featuring white gold screws and a sapphire dial that frames the calibre 5135. The gold hands and markers are adorned with a brown PVD coating and filled with a luminescent material, casting a mesmerizing blue glow by night. The week indicator, with its distinctive red arrow, ensures clarity, enhancing the dial’s legibility.

The collaboration’s essence is woven into the design, with Cactus Jack’s imagery reflected in the typography and the moonphase’s emblematic smiley face, which radiates with a blue luminescence in the dark. In a contrasting spectacle, other calendar indications emit a green luminosity, creating an ethereal nocturnal display.

Encased in 41mm of brown ceramic with a sapphire display back, this timepiece promises water resistance up to 20 meters. The rose gold framed subdials and luminescent calendar indications are a testament to Audemars Piguet’s commitment to innovation and design.

Completing this masterpiece is a brown calfskin strap, imbued with a textured jeans effect, clasped with a rose gold folding buckle bearing the signatures of both Audemars Piguet and Travis Scott.

Priced at $201,000, this timepiece isn’t just an instrument of time; it’s a declaration of a state of mind, echoing the sentiment “Utopia is a state of mind” from Scott’s latest album. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar “Cactus Jack” Limited Edition is a testament to the synergy between horology and contemporary culture, a collector’s dream poised at the zenith of luxury timekeeping.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
