Inspiration comes from many different places. For the NEW Chopard Alpine Eagle, the muse was none other than nature itself. The timepiece is an iconic fusion of refined elegance and contemporary design, drawing references from the Alpine Eagle and its biotope.

Monte Rosa pink dial achieved by galvanic treatment, it’s made of brass and is a beautiful canvas for the sunburst motif, which is inspired by the iris of an eagle. It serves as a reminder that nature is the most gifted of all muses. Applied 18kt white gold hour-markers, numerals, an hands, all with SuperLuminova. 18kt white gold baton-type small seconds hand enhanced with white lacquer. Black transfers.

It’s equipped with the exceptional Swiss automatic Chopard in-house caliber L.U.C 96.40-L, featuring 29 jewels, a high-frequency of 28,800 vph, and an impressive power reserve of 65 hours. The 22kt yellow gold micro-rotor is beautifully engraved, adding a touch of sophistication to the timepiece. The watch’s bridges are decorated with Côtes de Genève, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of Chopard’s watchmakers. Other features include an annular balance, a swan’s-neck index-assembly, and a balance-spring with Phillips terminal curve. The movement is COSC-certified as a chronometer and bears the prestigious Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark. The watch’s functions include hours, minutes, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, making it a versatile and reliable timepiece for any occasion.

Crafted from Chopard Lucent Steel A223, the watch bracelet is a marvel of both technical expertise and style. Its gentle tapering shape comprises a single ingot-shaped link, topped with a raised central cap that’s reminiscent of the Alpine Eagle’s natural habitat. The bracelet design seamlessly integrates with the rest of the watch, creating a cohesive and refined appearance.

The  41mm x 8mm case is constructed out of Lucent Steel and is both stylish and functional. The watch’s crown, measuring 6.6mm, is adorned with a compass rose, adding a touch of adventure to its design. The vertical satin-brushed case middle is accentuated with polished bevels, creating a stunning contrast. The Lucent Steel bezel, featuring eight screws set at a tangent, adds both durability and elegance to the timepiece. The watch is equipped with double AR-coated sapphire crystals and has a water resistance of up to 100 meters, making it suitable for any outdoor activity.

There is no question how beautifully executed this watch is from top to bottom. My only reservation is price $22,500 which is a little much for a time only watch in stainless steel without a date. Then again, it’s not for everyone. It’s elegance personified and for that collector who can admire and appreciate it not just as a timepiece, but a work of art that captures the essence of the natural world around us.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
