Audemars Piguet has done it again with their latest limited edition timepiece, the Royal Oak Offshore “End of Days” for 2023. A  tribute to the original “End of Days” version that was released in 1999 in collaboration with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The NEW version is a limited to 500 pieces and is sure to be highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. This watch was also released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph

 

One of the standout features of the Royal Oak Offshore “End of Days” 2023 is its black ceramic case, which measures 43mm x 14.4mm. The case is paired with a black ceramic bezel that is secured by eight steel screws, giving the watch a sleek and modern look. The watch also features an AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sapphire display back on a titanium caseback, ensuring that the beauty of the movement can be admired from both sides.

The movement is the Swiss automatic Audemars Piguet in-house caliber 4401 with 40 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 70 hours. It features a column wheel and vertical clutch and is decorated with Cotes de Genève, circular graining, sunray finishing, circular satin finishing and polished bevels. The 22kt rose gold rotor has undergone a colored NAC process to give it an anthracite grey hue, adding to the watch’s unique and luxurious feel.

The black dial of the Royal Oak Offshore “End of Days” 2023 features a Mega Tapisserie pattern, with counters and exterior zones in black and white gold applied hour markers. The Royal Oak hands are coated in black nickel with yellow SuperLuminova, making them easy to read in any lighting conditions. The watch also has a flyback chronograph and displays hours, minutes, small seconds and date. The applied gold AP logo at 12 o’clock adds a touch of luxury to the watch, while the counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock provide additional functionality.

The watch comes with a black calfskin leather strap with a textile effect and yellow stitching, as well as an additional interchangeable strap in yellow calfskin with black stitching. Both straps are secured with a titanium pin buckle, completing the watch’s sleek and modern look.
