Vintage Racing Meets Haute Horlogerie

Limited to just 20 pieces, the NEW Depancel Allure Valjoux 92 “Bleu de France” is a collector’s dream. This model revives a legendary chronograph movement with French racing flair and artisan-level detail.

A Classic Reborn with a Legendary Heart

At the core of this timepiece beats the iconic Valjoux 92 movement. Known for its horizontal clutch system and smooth column-wheel action, it represents a golden era of mechanical chronographs.

Depancel has fully restored each movement in-house. Every caliber was disassembled, cleaned, redecorated, and reassembled with precision and care—giving new life to a vintage classic.

How Big Is the Allure Valjoux 92?

The stainless steel case measures 39mm wide, 45.8mm lug-to-lug, and 13mm thick. It features a brushed and polished finish, a domed sapphire crystal, and a transparent display back. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

Dial Design: French Motorsport Inspiration

The dial features a blue sunburst finish inspired by vintage French racing cars. It’s both elegant and functional, featuring:

  • Pulsometer and tachymeter scales

  • Red chronograph hands for seconds and minutes

  • Luminous markers and hands for clear legibility

Every detail ties back to Depancel’s automotive DNA.

Mechanical Power and Chronograph Functionality

Inside is a manual-wind Swiss Valjoux 92, a new old stock (NOS) movement. It beats at 18,000 vph, holds 17 jewels, and offers a 30-hour power reserve.

Functions include:

  • Hours

  • Minutes

  • Central chronograph seconds

  • 30-minute counter

The column-wheel mechanism ensures smooth and reliable chronograph operation.

Strap and Finish

The watch is paired with a 20mm black leather racing strap with contrast stitching and a steel pin buckle. It’s a stylish nod to vintage motorsport watches for $3,900.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
