Jean-Claude Biver, a legend in the watchmaking industry with nearly 50 years of experience, has teamed up with his son Pierre to launch a new brand that aims to create highly exclusive and prestigious timepieces. Together, they have assembled a team of specialists to create museum-quality watches, starting with a minute repeater with a tourbillon and a micro rotor. For those of you who are unaware Jean-Claude Biver is one of the most powerful and influential figures in the watch industry. In the last 15 -20 years he has been responible for the success of Hublot & Tag Heuer.

The minute repeater movement was developed by the Cercle des Horlogers, a Swiss movement manufacturer known for its high-quality craftsmanship. Other movements will be developed by Dubois Dépraz and an in-house team led by François Perez, a skilled constructor and technical officer.

The first model, which will be presented in the spring of 2023, is a distillation of watchmaking culture aimed at the enlightened watch lover. Technical specifications include a titanium or 18kt rose gold case, measuring 42mm x 13.7mm, with an AR-coated sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 50 meters.

The watch features the Swiss automatic Biver in-house caliber JCB-001 with 44 jewels, 21,600 vph, and a power reserve of 3 days. The movement is decorated with black-polished and grained white gold bridges and satin-finished steel components. It also includes a carillon minute repeater, tourbillon, and hours and minutes functions.

The watch’s dial is made from domed sodalite or silver obsidian hardstone and includes applied gold hour markers, gold hour and minute hands, and a five-link Biver design bracelet in titanium or 18kt rose gold. An additional leather strap with an 18kt rose gold or titanium pin buckle is also included.

With a Retail price of $550,000, the Biver Carillon Tourbillon is a highly exclusive and luxurious timepiece for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and iconic design. As an expert in the industry, Jean-Claude Biver’s new venture promises to be a remarkable addition to the world of watchmaking.
