Renowned for incorporating rare and exotic materials into its timepieces—such as charoite, specular hematite, and meteorite—the brand now introduces Baltic amber to haute horology for the very first time.

After extensive sourcing efforts spanning several months, Arnold & Son successfully acquired the precious fossilized resin needed to craft this exclusive collection.

The Unique Appeal of Baltic Amber

A material seldom seen in watchmaking, Baltic amber forms through the fossilization of conifer resin over thousands of years. It is lightweight, laminated, and both fragile yet resilient, offering a natural transformation in color when exposed to air and light. Over time, its surface develops a brownish-red patina, while its core remains a luminous pale yellow—a hue specially selected for the HM Steel Amber dial.

With no complications to distract from its beauty, the time-only HM Steel Amber features a minimalist design, where the dial takes center stage, punctuated only by a central drilling to accommodate the hour and minute hands.
