Mission to Earthphase “Snoopy”: The Most Limited MoonSwatch Yet
On August 9, 2025 — Omega and Swatch will drop their most exclusive MoonSwatch release to date. Titled the “Mission to Earthphase – Snoopy”, this imaginative timepiece merges astronomical innovation, playful storytelling, and technical brilliance. But what truly sets it apart from previous releases is this: it will only be available for one day, and one day only.
Let’s take a closer look at what makes this MoonSwatch so special — and why collectors and fans should mark their calendars now.
Exclusivity Like Never Before: A One-Day-Only Release
Unlike previous MoonSwatch drops that stayed available over time or returned in waves, the Mission to Earthphase “Snoopy” is available exclusively on August 9, 2025 — the day of the full Sturgeon Moon. That’s it. No second chances. Of course there were the Mission to Moon Moonshine Gold models that were only available for a day, but this one is far more special
A Double First: Debut of the Earthphase, New Rubber Strap
This timepiece is more than just a collectible. It debuts three features at the same in this MoonSwatch:
-
Swatch’s Earthphase complication — a poetic reinterpretation of the traditional moonphase.
-
The first MoonSwatch to feature a rubber strap with a Velcro closure — a sleek, practical upgrade fans have long requested.
-
The first MoonSwatch to showcase Omega’s proprietary Moonshine gold, coating the two moons at the 3 o’clock position.
These additions elevate the “Snoopy” release beyond novelty, adding depth and sophistication to its design.
A Poetic View from the Moon: The Earthphase Complication
The Earthphase is not your typical horological complication. Introduced last year by Swatch, it inverts the classic moonphase. While moonphases show how the moon appears from Earth, the earthphase shows how Earth looks from the Moon.
This clever mechanism follows a 29.5-day cycle — just like the moonphase — but moves in reverse. On a full moon night, Earth is “new” from the Moon’s perspective. Conversely, during a new moon, the Earth appears full. This counterclockwise motion offers a poetic reinterpretation of the retrograde function found in haute horology, bridging art and science with childlike wonder.
Snoopy and the Sturgeon Moon: A Tribute in Detail
As with previous Snoopy editions, storytelling is front and center. Beneath the Earthphase indicator, Snoopy and Woodstock gaze at Earth from the Moon, a scene that lights up in UV light to reveal a hidden message. It’s a subtle nod to the adventurous spirit that defines both NASA and the Peanuts character’s legacy in space history.
At the 2 o’clock subdial, a dual moonphase display features two luminous full moons, both coated in Omega’s Moonshine™ Gold. One is rendered in classic Snoopy style; the other is adorned with a net-like texture, symbolizing the fishing roots behind the name “Sturgeon Moon.”
Design & Specs: Where Play Meets Precision

Additional highlights include:
-
Water resistance up to 30 meters
-
Swiss quartz ETA movement with chronograph, moonphase, and earthphase functions
-
White opaline dial with glowing SuperLuminova hour markers and hands
-
Circular dial texture and recessed subdials
-
Earthphase oceans that glow blue under UV light at 10 o’clock
-
New navy rubber strap with Velcro and Bioceramic loop
Even the battery cover is customized — featuring an Earth-inspired motif, reinforcing the theme of planetary wonder.
A Collector’s Dream, But Only for One Day
In a saturated world of limited-edition drops, the Omega x Swatch Mission to Earthphase “Snoopy” stands alone. Not only does it push creative boundaries with its reverse Earthphase complication, but it also introduces the first-ever rubber strap with Velcro on a MoonSwatch. Most importantly, it’s only available on August 9, 2025 — one day, one shot, no exceptions!
Retail: $400. Expect lines. Expect demand. This may be the most sought after and collectible watches in it’s price point. But if you manage to get one, you’ll own a defining moment in MoonSwatch history!
Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
