Deep Blue Watches, a respected watchmaker out of New York, has taken decisive legal action against Silver City Brands Limited and Favre Leuba. The lawsuit accuses both parties of illegally using the “Deep Blue” trademark, which belongs exclusively to DB TIME, Deep Blue’s parent company.

At the Geneva Watch Days show, Silver City and Favre Leuba boldly displayed watches with “Deep Blue” printed on the dial. DB TIME immediately flagged this as a direct and unauthorized use of its federally registered trademark. For nearly two decades, DB TIME has built the Deep Blue brand into a trusted name in the watch industry—without interference or confusion.

DB TIME didn’t take this lightly. They approached Silver City in good faith to settle the issue. However, Silver City flatly denied that DB TIME held any rights to the name, despite clear proof to the contrary. The USPTO database confirms DB TIME as the legal trademark owner, while Favre Leuba voluntarily abandoned any claim to “Deep Blue” years ago.

Now, DB TIME is moving aggressively to protect what it legally owns. The company is demanding accountability and seeking to stop Silver City and Favre Leuba from misleading consumers and diluting the Deep Blue brand.

“We’ve worked hard for nearly 20 years to build Deep Blue into a respected brand,” said a DB TIME spokesperson. “We will not allow anyone to hijack our identity or undermine our reputation.”

With this lawsuit, Deep Blue Watches sends a clear message: they will fight any attempt to exploit their intellectual property or compromise their legacy.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
