Swatch will drop the Blancpain Scuba Fifty Fathoms Green Abyss on June 7th
Swatch has revealed the latest addition to its Blancpain Scuba Fifty Fathoms line: the Green Abyss.
Launching on June 7, 2025, this new model brings a bold green look and fresh undersea inspiration.
After days of taunting the public on social media, Swatch finally lifted the curtain. The Green Abyss follows the Antarctic Ocean layout but adds its own murky, mysterious flair.
The case, made from matte green Bioceramic, keeps the familiar dimensions:
42.3mm wide, 14.4mm thick, and 48mm lug-to-lug.
Though fans were hoping for a smaller variant, Swatch holds steady with the original size—at least for now.
A Dial Born from the Depths
Instead of cardinal numerals, the dial uses raised, puffy printed indices. These add subtle depth to the otherwise flat green surface.
At 12 o’clock, Swatch and Blancpain share the spotlight—prominently. The lower half features a two-tone circle, nodding to vintage moisture indicators.
This layout first appeared on the Antarctic Ocean model. Now, it resurfaces in a richer, darker green that suggests deep-sea mystery.
New Strap, Familiar Feel
Unlike the single-pass NATO-style strap seen in other variants, the Green Abyss uses a two-piece fabric strap.
It comes striped in green and finished with matching Bioceramic hardware.
The lug width remains 22mm, keeping it compatible with a variety of strap swaps for adventurous wearers.
Funky Caseback, as Always
Flip the watch over, and the fun continues. The Sistem51 automatic movement takes center stage with 90 hours of power reserve.
Printed across its bridges is a new sea creature:the Felimare picta, also known as the Regal Sea Goddess—a striking nudibranch species.
Black and beige accents swirl through the green tones, tying the whole design together.Even if you can’t service this movement easily, it still delights with color and detail.

Could this be the ultimate “Swatchpain”?
The Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms series hasn’t matched the global buzz of the MoonSwatch, but it’s quietly gaining traction. It remains a sleeper hit, appreciated by collectors who value design depth over hype. For the price, it’s hard to find another mainstream collaboration that offers this level of heritage-inspired detail.
I personally own two models from the collection. While the bold, bright colorways make them fun to wear, there’s more beneath the surface. The new Green Abyss might be the strongest release yet. With its rich aesthetic, vintage cues, and accessible price point, it could be the ultimate expression of the Fifty Fathoms reimagined.
Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
