David Beckham commands attention everywhere he goes, but this time, it wasn’t just his famous tattoos that caught the spotlight. Over the weekend, he debuted an extraordinary Tudor Black Bay Chronograph, crafted exclusively for him to mark his 50th birthday. This story first broke on his IG reel by Adrian Barker of Bark & Jack.

A Striking, Minimalist Dial

Right away, the watch stood apart thanks to its sleek black lacquer dial, which Tudor stripped of nearly all the usual markings. Aside from the Tudor logo, “Tudor Genève,” and “Swiss Made,” the face stays impressively clean. Furthermore, the subdials lose their traditional numerals, showcasing simple white hash marks on a crisp reverse panda layout.

Diamonds from Bezel to Bracelet

Next, your eyes land on the brilliant bezel, where Tudor set two rows of round diamonds—a style rarely seen in modern watchmaking. This detail creates a vintage-inspired look that feels both sophisticated and bold. Even the hour markers shine with polished diamond accents, perfectly complementing the minimalist dial.

Additionally, the lugs and the center links of the five-link bracelet sparkle with even more diamonds, emphasizing the watch’s undeniable presence on the wrist. Personally, I am not a fan of the how loud and obnoxious this watch is for Tudor, but it sure is a hell of a conversation piece, especially being spotted on one of the most famous wrists in the world at the mother of all Tennis Slams!

Special Details and Personal Touches

Adding to the intrigue, rumors suggest that Beckham’s date wheel hides two birthday candles instead of the number “2,” nodding to his May 2nd birthday. While Tudor hasn’t confirmed this touch, it fits the spirit of a watch built to celebrate a milestone.

A Change of Wrist—and a New Chapter

For the first time in years, Beckham switched his watch to his left wrist. His right arm, which usually carries his timepieces, is recovering from recent surgery to fix a long-standing injury. Even so, he seemed delighted to wear this custom Tudor, clearly enjoying every moment.

A Rare Glimpse into Tudor’s Unique Creations

While many believe Tudor avoids special commissions, Beckham’s bespoke chronograph proves otherwise. This stainless steel, diamond-set masterpiece demonstrates the brand’s ability to create one-of-a-kind watches when the occasion calls for it.

Above all, this unforgettable piece highlights Beckham’s deep connection to Tudor, where he has proudly served as an ambassador since 2017.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
