Breguet Type XX Chronograph 2075: A Tribute to Courage and Precision

To celebrate its 250th anniversary, Breguet unveils the Type XX Chronograph reference 2075 in two striking versions.
Both take direct inspiration from the iconic Type XX first introduced in 1955.

These new flyback chronographs honor three generations of explorers and innovators.First, Abraham-Louis Breguet, the brand’s founder and master of horological innovation.Next, Louis Breguet, his great-great-grandson and aviation pioneer.
Finally, aviators Dieudonné Costes and Maurice Bellonte, who completed the first non-stop Paris to New York flight.

Their 1930 journey in the Breguet 19TR Super Bidon captured global attention.A bold question mark adorned the plane’s fuselage—symbolizing curiosity and daring. That spirit now lives on in the Type XX Chronograph 2075.

Timeless Design Meets Modern Craftsmanship

Breguet offers two distinct references:

The 2075BH/99/398 with an anodized black aluminium dial

The 2075BH/G9/398 with a solid silver dial and gradient blue calfskin strap

Both models are 38.3mm crafted in Breguet gold, an exclusive alloy with blond highlights. Each watch draws inspiration from the original “civil” Type XX, serial number 1780.

Calibre 7279 and 7278 Movements

Powering these chronographs are two high-performance movements.

Calibre 7279 drives the black dial version;

Calibre 7278 powers the silver dial version.

Both are manual winding with 5 Hz frequency and a 60-hour power reserve. They feature a flat silicon hairspring and inverted anchor with silicon horns.

An engraving of the Breguet 19 aircraft and transatlantic flight route appears on the movement—honoring the 1930 flight.

Elegant, Limited, Collectible

Each watch weighs approximately 53 grams and features an interchangeable calfskin strap with an 18K Breguet gold pin buckle and

Both are presented in a Special Edition 250th red leather box, inspired by period Moroccan leather cases.

The silver dial version (2075BH/G9/398) is strictly limited to 250 pieces, engraved on the bezel.

Pricing

  • 2075BH/99/398:  $43,500

  • 2075BH/G9/398: $45,200

Both include a 5-year international guarantee.

With the Type XX Chronograph 2075, Breguet bridges past and present—offering collectors a living piece of history.

Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
